Speaker of the House John Boehner stunned audience members Wednesday evening at a Colorado fundraiser by referring to Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz as a “jackass,” two people in attendance tell The Daily Caller.
At a Steamboat Springs event for GOP Rep. Scott Tipton, the Ohio Republican quipped that he likes how Cruz’s presidential campaign keeps “that jackass” out of Washington, and from telling Boehner how to do his job.

I passed that point when the GOP let Obamacare get out of committee.
I was willing to look at them again when they took the Congress in 2014.
Nothing but FAILURE THEATER since then. They are incapable of abiding by their oath of office. They cannot protect the US, or it’s citizens.

I’d be be more concerned, much, much, more concerned, if Boehner had praised Cruz.
Every Democrat POS calls Cruz a jackass! No news here. It’s a badge of honor.

Considering the absolute rage that the Republican base is CLEARLY demonstrating, I find it incredible that this they still allow this blubbering fool to be the speaker! Can they not see that their own base is in open revolt like a fire from one end of the country to the other? It’s on the damn nightly news every single night recently!
Rep. Mark Meadows (R-N.C.) said he or another conservative lawmaker may seek a privileged vote next month to oust Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) from his leadership position.
Meadows told The Daily Signal that he or another conservative lawmaker may file a privileged motion to “vacate the chair” and force a vote on who should be the House leader.

Cruz is one of the first politicians that I’ve really genuinely liked (Reagan was another, and my old Congressman from decades ago another still). I don’t have to hold my nose to pull the lever for him. He understands the Constitution and it means something to him. I see a lot in Cruz, and I think he’d make a superb president.
Jackass, crazies, hobbits, vulgarians. And the GOPe wonders why we hate them.
Cruz to John Boehner:
“I have a plan, How about we do what we were elected to do”
Boehner:
“No, I have a different plan, stop telling me how to do my job”
Ted Cruz is one of the demonstrably non-jackass people in D.C. and Bonnet damn well knows it. That’s WHY he picked that epithet, to try to reverse Cruz’s true strength in people’s minds.
Boehner was a jackass to say that.
Trump, Cruz, Carson. And then you have little men like John Boehner.
The GOPe is going down, and out of the ashes will come a new Republican Party. And the likes of little John Boehner won’t be a part of it.
