MATHEWS: Mr. Vice President and thank you for appearing on MSNBC and Hardball , Mr. Vice President your name has come up as a possible candidate for the 2016 elections and it seems you are getting very good poll results in your favor. Can you tell me if you would get more aggressive in our national defense if we are threatened by any international threats?

BIDEN: Thank you for asking this very important question Chris and yes, I will take a very strong stance against any country who even thinks about threaten our great country, as a matter of fact, I have written a speech that I will deliver if I’m the nominee, would you like to hear the final draft I’ve written?

MATHEWS: By all means, Mr. Vice President and thank you for making Hardball the first to air your national defense speech ahead of your nomination and I’m sure that other cable and network news will pick this up from Hardball and run with it and, needless to say, our numbers could use a boost. (chuckling)

BIDEN: Well, I’m glad to help you achieve a higher a higher level of relevence, I get all my news from MSNBC and Hardball and I’m sure my speech will go a long way to improve your status in the news community.

My fellow Americans, as your nominee, the very first thing I will focus on is the state our National Defense and I want you to know, as president of this great country, you can put aside any doubts whether I will be tougher and more aggressive than any president in recent memory.

I shall go on to the end to fight terror, I shall shall fight on the seas and oceans against terror, I shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, I shall defend America whatever the cost may be, I shall fight on the beaches, I shall fight on the landing grounds, I shall fight in the fields and in the streets, I shall fight in the hills, and I shall never surrender.

Thank you my fellow Americans and may God protect our, soon to be, great country again.

MATHEWS: (wiping his eyes and drooling spit) Mr. Vice President, I have heard many speeches from many presidents but this nomination speech has my whole body trembling with joy and anticipation of you becoming our next president...(breaks down blubbering)
