What the hell? This is almost exactly the same column this douchebag wrote a week or so ago. Are they just recycling crap now?

It's because the same idiots continue to post an article from 2012.

I don’t even see how this is really contradictory to his current positions. Slick Willard’s plans for pretty much everything were incoherent, focus-group-tested, BS.

The thing that all these hand-wringers don’t get is that Trump making a statement as a private citizen that was never questioned or fleshed out is NOTHING like a politician taking a position on an issue to his/her constituents.

That aside, Reading Trump’s words, I can easily see how someone could make a persuasive case that he didn’t change his position at all. He thought Romney’s plan was dumb and that Republicans appeared mean spirited. He’ll still tell you that now with regard to Romney’s dumb ‘47%’ remark. Has anyone even asked Trump to clarify this?

Trump didn’t support the 05 attempt at amnesty. He didn’t support the Gang of Eight bill. He didn’t talk about ‘acts of love’ or any other such nonsense.

Plus, if he’s lying to us now, what’s the point? So he can go from making $400M a year to $400k? Bragging rights? So, he’s going to betray all of the people supporting him and become the most hated man in American history, because that supposedly strokes his ego somehow? I just don’t get what these people are thinking.

From everything I can see about Trump, he views what he’s promising us as a contract in exchange for our votes. It would appear to me to be out of character for him to violate that contract.

With Trump, at least I have hope that he’ll actually pursue his goals with enough gusto to get them enacted. With the other guys, (including Cruz at this point) not so much.
