We’re going to disagree on this one. I think it did take a push by Lincoln to preserve the union.
I’m not sure now that it was the right move for the right reason. It might have been the wrong move for the right reason.
But all of a sudden we’re debating the Civil War instead of Charlie Daniel’s message which is distracted from.

We're talking right past one another. Lincoln did push to preserve the Union. He did not provoke or start the Civil War. Seven states seceded before the man was even in office; how in the world did he "push" anything???
