Heck. AT&T pays over 5%. I have actually considered putting my entire estate in AT&T and living off the dividends. If the stock price cuts in half what do I care as long as it pays dividends which it has been doing forever.
At this very moment BP’s divy return is 7.6%. Wow. Alway a decent chance that dividend will be dropped, but still.
My investment strategy is to simply live off the dividends and not even attempt to make money off trading. I don’t sweat these ups and downs too much.
