I probably should have expounded; I don’t think this is political at all; after the merger, AA/US starting looking at hard at Philly. I have been a dispatcher for most of adult life and can tell you that PHL is an operational nightmare. I would expect to see quite a few for reductions out of Philly, TLV is probably just the first..

That explains the 1/2 waits to take off. It is a sucky place to fly into and out of.

We flew out of Philly to Aruba because it was a non-stop that just happened to be on AA. No non-stops available out of BWI. It was a pain getting TO and FROM the airport itself, but the airport itself was OK. Stayed overnite at the Hilton; free parking, and free shuttle to the airport from the hotel. 19°F when we boarded at PHL. 85° in Orangistaad when we landed. 😊
