You knew that the Judge would find probable cause to bind him over. He could have done that over his table at breakfast. This is a kangaroo court from start to finish. When the trials begin, it will be a kangaroo judge with a kangaroo jury. Jesus received a fairer trial than these people will received. A Stalin Era Soviet Show Trial was more fairer than these defendants will receive. A Jew going before a People’s Judge in Nazi Germany would have gotten a fairer trial than these defendants will get. They, as much as possible, would be well served to get their affairs in order because when the trials begin, they are going away for a long time.
I don't think there will be many trials. It will be Texas vs. a few who are on camera committing violence (and self defense will be raised in many of those cases); and Accused v. Texas for a few who have a fire in the belly over being arrested without probable cause.
Depending on what the videos show, there might be one or two wrongful death suits running in various directions (biker v. biker; biker v. state)
Most will walk away, with whatever lingering sentiment they may have.
It's quite difficult to put together a kangaroo jury biased to convict. I'll be shocked if there are erroneous criminal convictions flowing from the events at Twin Peaks. Kangaroo judges, on the other hand, are a dime a dozen.
You got that right. It's a particularly dangerous one, too. It isn't messing with some small-scale local scandal. It's messing with the entire concept of American motorcycle clubs. It's messing with dynamite.
