FULL TITLE: Teacher Protests Unions Planned Parenthood Donations, Fights for Ability to Donate to Pro-Life Charity
A Pennsylvania teacher is suing the states largest teachers union, the Pennsylvania State Education Association, for preventing her from donating her nonmember fees to a pro-life charity.
In an interview with The Daily Signal, Linda Misja, a teacher at Apollo-Ridge High School, said she has never paid for representation by the union, which she does not want.
She said joining the union would violate her religious beliefs.
Misja, a devout Catholic, objects to the unions decision to donate to Planned Parenthood, the nations largest abortion provider.

Just wow I will never understand schools supporting abortion. Talk about “working yourself out of a job”.
It should be noted that PP is the icky glue that has everything plastered together.
It will take storming heaven to dislodge them.
Oh I know!!!
Give them sex education. Faulty birth control. Then sell them that abortion. Not just one mind you but multiple ones!
Meanwhile what the schools don’t realize is that/those are babies that could sit in the classroom in the future!!! Now schools close and consolidate and they wonder why?? Oh gee can someone say “division and subtraction” on a mass level here?
I just don’t understand why they ever allowed those monsters in the schools to begin with. I think it might have something to do when prayer left.
I never understood how money collected support workers in getting what they feel is a fair wage could be used for anything other then there strike fund and managing the day to day affairs of the union. political donations and donations to charities should be illegal for any money collected by theses groups especially when the union dues are forced on people that don’t want anything to do with the union.
That and the actions of people like Bill Ayers who masterminded amoral education of which PP sex ed was just a small portion.
I just dont understand why they ever allowed those monsters in the schools to begin with. I think it might have something to do when prayer left.

I would venture that most teachers don’t know and don’t care what their “dues” are going toward.
Ironically, the teachers that end up needing the union to help them keep their jobs are Christians. Many administrators are trying to rid their schools of conservative, pro-life teachers and the union has to stand up for them.
It just happened here. Admin went after a long time conservative Christian teacher. Never accused him of violating any school policy, just for “creating a culture of religious discrimination “ because he allowed student led discussions on religion and a couple of times in previous years (not recently) enforced the school’s dress code. I kid you not. Another teacher in the school had, at the very least, inappropriate interaction with a female student and many say it was sexual. Nothing more than an afternoon of questions for him while they sought to terminate the Christisn teacher.
Crazy times and the union has to go to bat for the members who oppose the values the union promotes.
All union members should be aware that if they petition their union to refund the portion of their dues that were used for political purposes....the union must comply....I did and it worked fine.
This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)
The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.
I'm going to the PP protest today. And you?
