that has happened , there is loads of pastebin lists already on full display and some of the rougher websites have taken the lists and directly posted on AM users facebook, linkedin, twitter etc stating who was cheating and using those sites to contact partners. its going to be a bloodbath out there.

despite the salacious nature, my interest in this is the security aspect, part of my job is linked a little to technology security. it really looks like AM did very little to secure their data. what companies need to see is this leak has destroyed that company, they are toast and the legal aspects have not even started yet. wait till the ‘i was divorced and lost everything but was not a member because someone used my email and i want 100 million’ cases start. there was one post on reddit about a saudia arabian national who is gay and who was begging to get his name removed since he risks a beheading.

most companies dont realise that the vast majority of leaks lead to financial disaster (cant remember the actual % but it in the 70-80% range from memory). they think because they are not in this market (i.e the Ashley M market) they are somehow different. that is not the way hacking groups work, they want easy targets with even a vague link to something they are blaming for the worlds ills. they also use your hacked password as they know most people use the same pwds again and again.

what is also amazing is the number of people using work emails as their contact, which in a lot of companies will be a fire-able offense (you need to check your employers contract).

this is before the stored pictures and emails of the members even appear not to mention their credit card details.

this is a 37 million person disaster that is going to keep on giving. the data is now out on the web. there is no way to recover it or hide it or wish it away. so for example once the data is fully searchable (and it will be soon), a future employer/spouse/partner will see it pop up on searches... your email id, your name, your address, the pictures you sent to a contact, the people you contacted, the emails you wrote...everything....

honestly within a week or so, the first suicides/murders will appear related to this. does that sound like i am exaggerating...?? sure it does, but i am not, watch and remember...this has only just started...
