I may be wrong, but I believe what they went through was merely a tactical combat course that is open to other branches of service. It is not Ranger Selection . While they rate to wear the RANGER tab those that complete the Ranger Selection and Assessment get the Ranger Scroll and go on to serve in a Ranger Bn

A lot of officers, especially West Pointers, get the tab even if they are in other branches or never serve in the 75th because it’s a challenge, prestigious and a career enhancer.

Have to correct you. RASP is the Ranger Selection and Assessment. That's not what they just did. They did Ranger School....though I have it from a Ranger that I am very close to that their instructors were told to “pass them through” and that they recycled each course several times. They started the 6 week program in April, which tells you a lot. I've been told that it was VERY political. The only saving grace is that they will not be part of the 75th Ranger Regiment.
