Same here. Trump was a Democrat up to 2008. I like a lot of what he says, but I don’t entirely believe he is sincere. I will vote for Cruz in the Primaries, but if Trump wins, I will vote for him in the General, unlike Bush or Christie.

Trump’s base is NYC. To do deals there, you’d better make noises like the Dems who run Gomorrah on the Hudson. You’d also better grease the right corrupt political palms (above or below the table). I recall an interview where Trump’s father — who was a builder in the other buroughs up there — warned him to stay the hell out of Manhattan.

Those who fail to play that game suddenly find those building or occupancy permits delayed, “trouble” with the unions, that restaurants in your buildings failing health inspections, etc. You know the drill!

But what that mostly PRIVATE game playing has given Trump is the ability to now — at this stage in his life — tell most of these same hacks to kiss his ass because they’ve put the country and the system into the crapper and it’s time to fight back.

I don’t like Trump, and I don’t trust him. But you know what?

If it turns out that all he is can be summed up by the description “Giant Political Wrecking Ball”, then...I am at the point I would be okay with it. It is possible things are beyond fixing.

I like Cruz, but if it looks like he is just another politician saying just what is needed to get elected and will simply play along with the game...

I will take a Political Wrecking Ball.

Not to say Trump is not just saying what he needs to say to get elected, but he certainly has more potential to gum up the works, in my opinion.
