Clinton Lawyer Says Her Email Server Was Wiped Clean By STEPHEN BRAUN

WASHINGTON — Hillary Rodham Clinton's personal lawyer has told a Senate committee that emails and all other data stored on her computer server were erased before the device was turned over to federal authorities.

In a letter sent last week to Sen. Ron Johnson, the chairman of the Senate Homeland Security Committee, attorney David Kendall said the server was transferred to the FBI on Aug. 12 by Platte River Networks, a Denver firm hired by Clinton to oversee the device. The Senate committee made Kendall's letter public on Tuesday. In exchanges with reporters earlier this week, Clinton said she was not aware if the data on her server was erased.

Federal investigators, prompted by a request from the inspector general for the State Department, requested custody of the server to learn whether the data stored on it was secure. NBC News has reported that an FBI team is now examining the server. Forensics experts told The Associated Press this week that some emails and other data may still be extracted from servers even after they are supposedly expunged.

You know, I just don’t understand why they can’t just get what they need from the NSA. Seriously, if the NSA says it has to collect everything for national security, and these emails may well have compromised national security, well, why not request what they need from the NSA? If the NSA doesn’t turn them over, then that is an even more waste of taxpayer money. Maybe they could ask Russia or China for them....ha. Seriously, I bet those 2 countries already have copies of all of her emails, and probably a whole lot more.

“was wiped” - good passive description of what happened - what really counts is the active voice “Mr/Mrs X wiped” - that’s where the indictments will come and Clinton and her henchmen don’t want it to get to that stage of attention by the public - I’m betting the “Mrs X” is Hillary, at least in so far as masterminding the operation, and that should be enough to put her away for a few years...

iirc lawyers have a duty to the court to uphold the law. if this is true, and the lawyer knows of criminal activity, perhaps he should report it to the court...

(of course, this would only be true in the case of a country in which the rule of law is paramount)

It occurs to me that we have been hearing quite a bit about what Hillary's lawyer Kendall has been doing.

He received a thumb drive. He was supplied a safe to keep it in. He turned it over to authorities. He has corresponded with investigators.

Perhaps we are seeing indications that Hillary put her lawyer in a compromised position and he has decided that he will be no part of any conspiracy on her behalf.
