The 14th amendment was intended to give former slaves their citizenship, not to give the children of invading barbarians citizenship. And the “subject to the jurisdiction thereof” clause is the means to winnow them out.
They want to ignore that clause, but they love to cite the "well regulated militia" wording in the 2nd Amendment when seeking to control firearm ownership.

Many persons even such as the judge on Fox TV do not see or want to run away from the words ‘subject to the jurisdiction thereof’. I believe those words were intentionally and specifically put into the Constitution via the 14th Amendment. A foreigner cannot come into the US for one day to have a child just to make the child a US Citizen and take the child back to somewhere where US citizenship is not intended. The judge is full of graham crackers on this issue/matter and illustrates how the US gets turned into a 3rd world nation. Of course he isn’t the only high level legal expert who would make the US A 3rd world pot.
I mentioned this at a recent gathering. From the reaction of those in attendance, not many were aware of this fact.
These politicians have such a warped view of the Constitution. They cannot interpret it correctly. This is why this country is in such bad shape.
