Those folks need to be informed that there is a “k” in the word “fracking”, lest it be pronounced like “bracing”.

Yet the procedure is done with “frac sand” not “frack sand.”

Actually, there are a lot of folks in the industry that point out there is no “K” in Fracturing and the shorten version should not have it either.

It has been argued over for years.

I found Oil & Gas Journal articles back in the 1990s using Fracking while many in the actual industry still leave out the “K”.
