I had always heard it as, the best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago. Seems like the immigration plan would be the same.
She would really melt down if they ever passed a law similar to the Immigration law of 1882 which required a head tax and did not allow anyone in who could not take care of themselves or was a criminal.
I would update it with my plan of having M-60s set up every 350 yards along the border, mine fields and mortars with gun ships on immediate call. I would also press into service every federal agent with a requirement to round up at least one illegal every week. Circa 30K agents at one a week, is 1.5 million a year or a reachable goal of having every illegal out of the country in about 10 years, quicker if one puts a bounty on them.
