Morgan Freeman is mourning the loss of his step-granddaughter after she was stabbed to death in New York City early Sunday.
Police officials were called to the Washington Heights neighbourhood just before 3 a.m. local time, when they discovered E’Dena Hines bleeding on the sidewalk after suffering multiple knife wounds to the torso.
She was admitted to a nearby hospital, where the aspiring actress was subsequently pronounced dead.

Couldn’t have happened in NYC! Its good she wasn’t living in the racist state of Mississippi where blacks are treated worse than they are in NYC. The evil flag of Mississippi is the cause of all hurt in Mississippi, Freeman says so.

My grandfather was born there in 1902. It was a wonderful place in the early part of the Century. His sister blamed overdevelopment.
NYC homicides up 20% so far this year.
It may FEEL like the Bronx but it’s Manhattan’s upper reach.
It’s obvious that this is beyond despicable.But I have to ask...why is *anyone*,young or old,male or female,black or white,rich or poor,on the streets of NYC at 3AM??

My daughter did some movie (bit part ended up on cutting floor) in Philly. It was early morning before they got done and I was a nervous wreck. This girl was an aspiring actress so she may have been doing something along those lines.
Washington Heights is actually in Manhattan. Above Harlem and across the Harlem River from The Bronx.

A witness said the man (apparently her boyfriend) stabbing her was shouting about casting out demons in the name of Jesus Christ.
This was his granddaughter (by marriage) / girlfriend. I wonder if they were still an item. RIP, what a lovely girl. I adored Morgan Freeman (as an actor) until he was found out to be with his wife’s granddaughter. I did lose a lot of respect.
