My Instagram and Facebook feeds have been filled with unwitting apologists for racism against Korean-American small-business owners.
Heckuva job, Hollywood!
Heres how the poison is spreading. A savvy marketing team at Universal/Comcast Corp. developed a Web toy that allows social-media fans to customize the theatrical poster logo for the media giants new biopic, Straight Outta Compton. Hundreds of thousands of clueless users have uploaded photos of themselves and substituted Compton with the names of their hometowns.
Jennifer Lopez, Serena Williams, LeBron James, and Ed Sheeran are among the celebrities who helped make the meme go viral. Youth-vote-pandering GOP Florida senator Marco Rubio jumped on the cultural bandwagon, too, with two obsequious messages on Twitter featuring the hashtag #straightouttacompton. Its a publicity coup for rappers-turned-multimedia moguls Dr. Dre (Andre Young) and Ice Cube (OShea Jackson) as they pimp the movie named after their breakthrough 1988 album glorifying the rise of their band N.W.A. (Niggaz Wit Attitudes) and the hardcore gangsta rap genre.
The hagiographic movie, Straight Outta Compton, omits Youngs history of assaults on women and completely whitewashes Jacksons incendiary attacks on Korean storeowners in South Central Los Angeles.

P.S. Is nwa on the lyin' king's play list?
Almost forgot, here’s the link to the “non-print” version for those that like the ads on the main page.
Have you been to Compton nowadays? It’s been overrun by mexicans. Even the Compton mall, I barely saw a black dude.
This is crazy..Im white and I am from Compton.. so all my father family... I’ve got two grandparents and a great grand mother buried there
I try to avoid Cali at all costs. :>}
Will anyone in the media spell out what NWA stands for????
Will anyone in the media condemn rap for the glorification of violence including violence against women?
There were gang fights at theaters years ago,,when “Boys in the Hood” was in theaters. I would fear that this new movie will draw a rough crowd .
But then if ticket sales are slow we will be told its due to racism. Certain people will not be able to get their arms around the idea that middle America does not want to see z movie about rap and the lifestyles of “rap artists” coming up out of the Compton California ghetto.
I will see this right after I have seen Django Unchained.
I remember the gang fights and brawls at the release of “Walk the Line.”
Oh wait.
Seems to have worked out pretty well for the nwa members. Purty sad. Multi-gazillionaires laughing all the way to the bank. Their attitude, “Fxxx the past! I got enough cash to buy the past.”
Kevin Costner is from Compton. Im serious.
Tu Pak is from a ritzy part of Marin County, near the wine country of California.
Oops. I accidently posted this to the nascar race post. LOL!
You should have seen the brawl at The Buddy Holly Story..
You mean six pak? Commie POS? Well, marin county..........

Marin City isn’t Ritzy. Projects, middle class homes, etc.
Not Worth Admission?
These guys were thugs — whose thuggery was rewarded by greedy and unscrupulous music industry executives.
The negative impact of “rap” on our culture is indisputable. Yet the public is expected to accept the lionization of these monsters as though everything is just fine.
Rubio is such a tool.
Mediocre hopes dashed again. :>}
