So my therapist says I need to replace my daughter in my life.

No she’s not espousing I rid my life of my daughter although my daughter obviously wants ME out of her life for doctors, hospitals and such.

She just thinks I should begin doing other things during those times I once interacted with my daughter.

Like a man....my therapist says.

I am now widowed for going on two and a half years and I suppose I could begin “dating”.

But hell, I’m 65 years old, I don’t think I could handle such a thing.

Well, I'm also now widowed for almost a year and a half.

I have zero interest in "dating," and I'm 4 years senior to you!

Now, I'm starting to be glad that I'm still living in our big house and in this small town, where I really don't go out to places where I would or could meet anyone.

Of course I go to Kroger's & Walmart once or twice a week, and although men come up to talk to me, it's not like we get chummy. OTOH, I can tell that one of Walmart's pharmacists is trying to get to know me, because he runs right over to 'wait on me' every time I refill my scripts. One of the girls who normally takes the scripts, told me he only does that when I come-in...lol. I guess he's "okay," --- not my type (whatever that is) --- but on Wednesday when I was diagnosed with walking pneumonia, he not only took my prescription orders, but then came over to me the counter to explain each medication: the reasons for their effectiveness, how/when to take each, and why I needed to drink lots of water.
