95 “missing.”
They’d have better luck looking for them in The Aether.

Good God! How many firefighters were sent in there without breathing masks or overalls!

Seems like it would be thousands, that place went up like a small nuke.

More than 1000 firefighters were reportedly sent to the scene.

After watching the videos, it’s really sobering to think that it was just a 21 ton blast. A smallish nuke is 1000 times as powerful. Just ridiculous. Imagine a bigger one at 100kt or 500kt, not to mention megaton class.

Does anyone believe what they claim?
The truth is whatever they say it is.

Yeah, 21 tons seems too little. Nukes must just create a screaming wall of vaporization.

The death toll they are reporting is still ludicrously low. What about the initial reports of apartment blocks located far too close to the warehouses?

After seeing those picture from the other thread, I have to agree.
The Chinese government will never tell us the truth, but 207 is a joke.
The way they’re packed in to cities like this, I’d say thousands is a more accurate guess.

Brave men. Reminds me of those who fought the Chernobyl blaze. May luck be on their side.

Imagine a bigger one at 100kt or 500kt, not to mention megaton class. I seem to recall reading that because of the Soviet delivery systems high Circular Error Probability (CEP), they deployed 20 MT city-busters. What they lacked in accuracy, they made up for in yield.

I have nothing but respect for people who do this- run towards situations that everybody else is fleeing from. Firefighters get a lot of slack from me.

You can enter in any location and select from a list of known bomb yields. You will see as in a conventional explosion the real damage is from the shockwave and overpressure not the fireball. (Unless you are talking about the Tsar Bomba or Castle Bravo)

And Tsar Bomba was dialed down to half of it’s design yield. I’ve heard that it was audible...in London. Wonder how small something like that could be made, nowadays?
(((shudder)))

Even with a bomb like that, if you live more than 30 miles from a major population center the odds of survival are still really high if you take proper and swift action. (unless the nuke is salted)
