We all are.
What I was driving at before, was that even in the law (when it was not politicized) there is the concept of coercion and unequal bargaining power. If there isn't a true meeting of the minds, and an exchange of value, then an agreement can later be found void.
Another example is the one of the power-tripping cop. It's usually better for all concerned to stay polite and let the judge and the Chief of Police know what a jerk the guy was than to try and handle it in real time.
If I face anything of these sorts I will resist and subsequently 1) demand to know the charges against me and 2) demand my 6A right to trial by a jury (that may nullify an executive branch gone amok). Because the worthless trash asshole Republicans that we placed in congress to represent us REFUSE to keep this executive administration in check, I will ask that my peers do so.

Screw the Chief of Police, he is a decorated lacky of the DA, Bring in the Sheriff! (If you have a good one) He will have no problems handcuffing anyone! It is HIS County.
