"“It’s difficult to overstate how damaged the GOP brand is, as a majority of Americans view the Republican Party as out of date and out of touch. Their increasingly backwards agenda was on full display at last week’s debate,”"

So conservative Republicans want us to go "backwards" to the values, traditions, Constitutional principles that built this once great nation that has been emulated throughout the world, according to the progressives? Okay with me.

First, it's not the majority of Americans. It's the gimmedats and low-info voters and bleeding hearts.

Secondly, what is so wrong about restoring the values and principles that made this Nation the envy of the world and changed the world for the better?

Thirdly, let's stop allowing the liberal/socialist/progressives to frame the discussion about conservatives. Let Cruz and others start talking about RESTORING the promise of the "Shining City on the Hill" and all that implies. Equal opportunity for all; special privilege for none.

Fourth, stop funding our socialist/communist institutions of higher learning that are simply indoctrination centers for our youth. Beside the MSM bias, that is our biggest problem in this country.

Concur. Conservatism seeks to restore that which should never have been lost. This is not “going backward”.
