Fox News chairman Roger Ailes woke up Monday morning thinking that his network and Donald Trump's campaign had reached an understanding.
After a weekend's worth of stressful phone calls, the tacit agreement --- he thought --- was that Trump would stop attacking Ailes' "biggest television star," Megyn Kelly, in interviews and tweets.

You know, Onyx, I'm not buying this. Ailes is a ratings lover--and rightly so--and I can't see him threatening Trump, who doesn't take well to threats.
I think Ailes' call to Trump was a kiss and make up. Trump takes to those kinds of call like honey badgers (which he is) to honey.
At least two versions of this conversation exist. Like you, I tend to agree with Trump's.
FWIW, I think the Megyn/Trump feud had run its course.

Gretchin Carlton who is also in Trumps corner (think she has been involved in some of his pageant work ) like O Really has been absent since the debate. Hmmmmmm Inner strife?Yes on Gretchen.
I don't see O'Reilly's vacation as anything other than a vacation.
He called into FNC - last night to Eric Bolling, his sub, to be specific.

Trump benefits from the drama
Fox News benefits from the drama
Megyn Kelly benefits from the drama
None of them are LOSING, or being PUNISHED
This was NOT a major battle. It was merely an opening skirmish.

Tokyo Rove’s anti-Trump editorial in the Wall Street Journal (owned by Murdoch) was also part of the setup.

Yes, you're right.
FNC has several “paid contributors,” several of whom do not like Trump: Krauthammer. George Will, Juan and that idiot who used to host Red Eye, to cite just a few.

I thought conservatives fell out with Faux over the topics they chose to ask about during the debate, not because the mods picked on Donald Trump. That certainly wasn’t my reasoning. The Donald . . . I question his entire deal. I’m not anywhere near sold on him. I like Ted Cruz

Trump had the trump card.
About 21 million of the 24 million were viewers to the debate that watched primarily because of Trump, not Kelly.Given that the "JV debate" garnered 6 Million viewers, I think it's safe to say that TRUMP brought in at least 16-18 Million viewers.

Thought on ME gyn
“Looser Limp” when a star athlete looses the race and immediately starts limping for sympathy
She is taking time off because her star is falling and she wants others to rally around and give her sympathy

Kimberly Guilfoyle is one of my FNC favorites!
She has beauty and brains. I'd like to see Ailes give Kimberly her own show!
