After the budget is met, please consider suggesting to FReepers how childish (girlish) this LOL, LMAO kind of retort is when posted to practically anything even slightly humorous on FR. Other ways to express one’s appreciation of humor exist...using actual words.
In recent months, though, LOL on FR has been utilized primarily as a put-down to any other FR poster’s sincere comment. Used as a childish weapon, even. An Alinksy type of tool. Not FRiendly or civil at all. Besides, LOL has become passe to even Middle Schoolers.
