Forty years (in a month) of the practice of law and it still amazes me how incredibly stupid clients, individuals or institutions, can be.
People go into denial. They count on no follow-up, normalcy bias, past success getting away with being abusive, corporate indemnification, etc.
But at a single month shy of forty years, I'm sure you're wearily aware of all that - and much more.
