Russian Warships Dock In Iran for War Training
Washington Free Beacon ^ | 8/10/2015 | Adam Kredo

Two Russian warships have docked in northern Iran for a series of naval training exercises with the Islamic Republic, according to Persian-language reports translated by the CIA’s Open Source Center.

The two Russian ships docked in Iran’s Anzali port on Sunday and will hold “joint naval exercises during the three-day stay of the warships in Iran,” according to a Persian-language report in Iran’s state-controlled Fars News Agency.

“The [Russian] warships, Volgodonsk and Makhachkala docked in Anzali Port [near the Caspian Sea], in the fourth naval zone, on the afternoon of 9 August,” the report says.

The war exercises come just weeks after Iran and global powers inked a nuclear accord that will provide Iran with billions of dollars in sanctions relief in return for slight restrictions on the country’s nuclear program.

Russian and Iran have grown close in recent years, with delegations from each country regularly visiting one another to ink arms deals and other agreements aimed at strengthening Iran’s nuclear program.

Russia and Iran agreed earlier this year to begin construction on several new nuclear power plants. Russia has also agreed to sell Iran a controversial advanced missile defense system that can prevent attacks by Western powers.

The Russian fleet docked in Iran’s port “carrying a message of ‘peace and friendship,’” according to Iranian officials quoted by Fars. The fleet was “welcomed by Iranian naval commanders and staff.”

You could just put “/Noob Poster” in your tag line until your double secret probation period is over.

Might save on the typing.

Just saying....

The Putinistas will be along soon to tell us what great guy Putin is. Meanwhile, we’ve a fool in the White House, an aggressively anti-American authoritarian president-for-life in charge of Russia, and a bunch of mad mullahs running Iran who are all part of the perfect storm of bringing down the West.

I respect Mr. Putin—like the way British Tommies respected Iwin Rommel-—He’s a typical strong man. I do believe he loves his country and will do anything for the Motherland even if it means stepping on his neighbors. He’s in it for Russia. Great Guy? Great like Alexander who got the title by killing his foes in Greece and Persia and outfoxing them. Better to compare him to Ivan the Terrible (In Russian Terrible is more like our word Awesome). Ivan set up the “Black Horse” The first secret police. For all his faults, Ivan did love his nation and worked hard to make her great—even if it ment lots of folks died.

It’s on the Caspian Sea, which is inland and borders Kazakhstan, Russia, Azerbaijan, and Iran and is actually (IMO) just a huge lake. Interesting from a political standpoint, but of no actual military significance.

Would you say that Hitler was a strong leader who loved his country?

Did Hitler Love his country—Hard to say. BUT if he really did he would have given up a lot sooner—let himself he jailed or killed to save his people from disaster. He was only after saving his own skin—and he held out til the bitter end on the bodies of the dead. So, no, I don’t think he loved his nation. Even Napoleon knew when to call it quits.

Did Hitler Love his country

Conditionally, as long as they fought for him....Once the war was lost, he didn't care if every single German perished along with him.
