Call it Little House of Representatives. Actress Melissa Gilbert, who rose to fame as a child playing Laura Ingalls Wilder on Little House on the Prairie, has announced she will challenge Michigan freshman Republican Rep. Mike Bishop.
Gilbert moved to Michigan in 2014 with actor husband Timothy Busfield (Revenge of the Nerds).
In June of 2015, it was revealed that IRS had filed a tax lien against Gilbert for $360,000 in unpaid taxes.

LOLOLOL! Srsly? She's running as a dem and this only helps her "street cred". I mean what self respecting(?) dem wouldn't have something like this to show that they're being oppressed and treated unfairly? Obvious it's a republicrat conspiracy or the war on women. Or something.

That’s a bit over-qualified for Congress, but just right for Secretary Of Treasury.

Nice way to raise funds for her campaign and then?????
No more tax lien or the Rats who run the IRS settle for pennies since she is one of their stars. Kiss a little Bammy but along the way to grease the skids.

Life has been easy on her unlike the rest of us who have to work two jobs to pay our taxes.

I wonder what happens if you run for Congress and propose IRS reform when the IRS holds a $360K lien against you?

I've seen her on the local news without make up. She's looking pretty rough these days.

I loved Timothy Busfield in the crummy angst-driven series 30 Something, which totally sucked.

Like Reagan, she was President of the Screen Actor’s Guild.
I’ll stop the comparison there.

She is simply trying to duplicate Hillary’s feat of up on Capitol Hill, living in the white house and leaving totally broke and then a miracle occurred.....she became a millionaire many times over without doing really anything at all.
It’s good to be in politics because you can earn so much money after being out of office simply by giving speeches. Why they pay for it is one of the mysteries of life.

I don’t understand why they’re broke. They’ve both had roles in the past year or so. Busfield even had a recurring role as Ben Franklin on the Sleepy Hollow series.
The fact that Gilbert has a hair stylist for her dog is a pretty good place to start looking for reasons they’re broke.

I’m guessing the SAG was a whole lot different in the 40s and 50s.

Melissa Gilbert's 2nd (of 3) husbands was Bruce Boxleitner, of "Babylon-5" fame.

She’s all the Dems can find in that district, which is solidly and safely in Republican hands.
