Here's my thought on that, for what it's worth:

I look at the presidential candidates that the GOP has handed us for the last 25 years and I see nothing but mealy-mouthed, left-leaning elitists. George W Bush. John McCain. Mitt Romney. These guys aren't even close to representing the average joe USA, let alone conservative average joe USA. And now look what the GOP is trying to foist upon us: Jeb Bush (#%$&*@#!!) If there were even one person among the GOP establishment with a single foot on the ground and half a brain, Jeb wouldn't be allowed anywhere near the GOP playing field, if only because of the Bush name, let alone because he's a pro-amnesty, 2nd-generation New World Order, Clinton-kissing, Schiavo-killing milquetoast. Yet here he is - the obvious GOP chosen frontrunner. Most of the other yahoos bursting out of the GOP clown car aren't much better.

So, the expectation for any conservative voter should be that we're not going to get a conservative from the GOP establishment. We'd love to go third-party but we know it will be a painful number of years until any third party gains traction, and by then the once-great USA will be a smoldering crater fruitlessly manned by aggrieved mestizos. Having a candidate within the GOP like Trump is the closest thing we'll have to a viable third-party candidate. Sure, he is not a conservative in any real sense, BUT NEITHER ARE ANY OF THE OTHER GOP NOMINEES. At least Trump would take over the White House like he would the CEO chairmanship of a corporation he just bought out and drive that company toward success without spending even a fraction of a second wringing his hands over which gender-confused sniveler is offended by his choice of breakfast cereal today.

That is why conservatives, real conservatives who haven't filtered out every last drop of piss and vinegar from their veins through the mainstream media dialysis machine, can not only stand to support Trump, but even hoist a stiff drink in his honor. It's about time somebody kicked the left-wing thought-control machine in the family jewels, and as long as Trump's the man doing it, he'll get plenty of cheers from the cheap seats.
