In Canada the wait is often 2x that long, which is just one of the reasons Canadians come to the US for their healthcare.
It has been getting worse for sure. Dad has cataract surgery done 3 years ago. He’s been having follow-ups since and the specialist told dad one time that the wait period for cataract surgery has been growing longer. It’s up to 6 months to a year wait now.
