I still am voting Cruz in the primaries. The man has earned that from me for his heroism in the senate against the most vicious attacks.
The fact is though, even if Trump collapses, the backup candidates (Cruz and Carson) are right now 2ND AND 3RD!!!
Yeb and the rest lag. Barring any major screwup, no establishment candidate is positioned to win this election. That is a good thing, Trump or not.
That's good, but only Trump understands the trade issues and their impact on the economy. None of the other candidates do including Cruz and Carson.
And neither Cruz nor Carson has the big organization experience they really need to step into the Presidency and hit the ground running. Trump has the organization experience. The governors running have some, though governor experience is not nearly as useful as Trumps large business organization P&L experience.
Trump needs to put Cruz and Carson in as head of agencies where he can mentor them and they can develop the skills they need.
