Gonna wait to see before believing. I worked in NW Fla (aka Lower Alabama) in the early 70s at a furniture warehouse. Every single delivery person was black except for me. I never heard of a single person refusing a delivery or asking for a different driver. And again, this was the early 70s.
How dumb would you have to be to pay for items and not let someone deliver them? These days you’re lucky to get your items at all.
By some estimates, approximately 90% of all violent crime in America is perpetrated by black people.
That means for many people, just about all crime is black crime.
Could this lady have previously experienced the vibrant diversity offered by that demographic, and simply preferred not to interact with that community out of fear for her life and well being?
If so that’s her right. Rather than framing it as a horrific hate crime by a hateful, racist person, maybe the truth is she did not want to be raped and murdered.
Sorry that it’s devolved to this, but simply allowing people into your home is not safe nowadays.
No kidding. I used to manage the support dept of a national department store location in north suburban (white) Atlanta. Every furniture delivery driver/worker we had was black.
