Here's how I would have handled MeGynocology's question, and I feel it was a missed opportunity for Trump:
KELLY: Mr. Trump, one of the things people love about you is you speak your mind and you don’t use a politician’s filter. However, that is not without its downsides, in particular, when it comes to women. You’ve called women you don’t like “fat pigs, dogs, slobs, and disgusting animals.” Your Twitter account has several disparaging comments about women’s looks. You once told a contestant on Celebrity Apprentice it would be a pretty picture to see her on her knees. Does that sound to you like the temperament of a man we should elect as president, and how will you answer the charge from Hillary Clinton, who was likely to be the Democratic nominee, that you are part of the war on women?
TRUMP: (Pauses) (Glares at Kelly)
TRUMP: Really? *THAT* is your first question for me? REALLY??? We have Iran about to get a nuclear weapon, and Obama helping it along... we have a massive invasion by illegal aliens who kill women on piers in Sanctuary Cities... we've got a crappy economy where jobs are being lost by the millions, Obamacare destroying the medical profession, China owning us in trade agreements.... and your main concern is if I called a woman UGLY???!?
(pauses again)
TRUMP: Yes, I called a woman ugly. Next question please. And lets make the next one actually one that affects Americans!
(WILD APPLAUSE)
Oh I wish he would have answered that way and you are right about the applause the audience would have gone bonkers and MK would have been stunned.
