Republicans opened their debate season Thursday in Cleveland and produced the beginning of the beginning for a Carly Fiorina surge and the beginning of the end for a Donald Trump campaign. ..... < snip >
..... In the prime-time tilt, Trump was a major loser, coming off as mean and shallow. ..... < snip >
.... Worse, he was the only Republican who refused to pledge no third-party campaign. "If they don't treat me well," Trump said later, "Why should I make that pledge?" As the poll front-runner, Trump had the most to lose in Cleveland. And he did.
But the star of the night was the little-known Fiorina, who totally dominated the early debate of seven. She displayed an impressive breadth of knowledge of the issues, a precision of language, wove in her Horatio Alger bio (office secretary to chief executive of the world's largest tech company) and showed no hesitancy to throw an elbow.
She credited Trump with tapping into a deep vein of American anger: "Americans are sick of politics as usual. The political class has failed you." But then, referring to Trump's Democrat past, Fiorina said, "I didn't get a phone call from Bill Clinton. Maybe because I didn't give money to his foundation or donate to his wife's Senate campaign."
Among those watching that debate and commenting on social media, Fiorina was virtually the unanimous winner. ..... < snip >
..... Trump was, well, Trump. But less so. ..... Asked to explain his companies' numerous bankruptcies, Trump sounded like Clinton explaining her email imbroglio, claiming he did nothing illegal, simply used existing laws. .....

I agree.
Oh I dunno maybe because just yesterday she threw in with the PC libtard feminist megyn kelly, and she loves the gay marriage
So how does that affect my comment that I agreed we should all stand behind Ted Cruz?
Mu reply was supposed to be to Bluestaterightist, i just replied to you by accident...
LOL you are truly a great person. You need to realize that Sarah probably does in fact know you as 2ndDivisionVet because we all know how good you are at judging people. We need your insight.
Just because career politicians have been a disaster of incalculable proportions doesn’t mean we should do anything differently. Let’s just stick with career politicians to the bitter end...which may not not be that far off, thanks to D.C.
Fifty-two posts before somebody finally said it. There is no new poll showing Trump down. Therefore IBD has ZERO evidence that Trump is wearing thin. This is a poor excuse for journalism.
Yeah because mocking people, and angering them is a great way to build consensus and coalitions. And on top of this Trump has been on and is still on both sides of most major issues.
First I have heard or this, where did you get this from?
Funny, but we have already had one thin skinned arrogant @$$hole, do we really need to go for two in a row.
Where did I say anything ion favor of Jebby? There is this other guy running, you might have heard of him, His name is Ted Cruz. He is sharp on The issues and even the libtard Dershowitz described him as the smartest best debater he had ever seen.
Yeah, I do. What is inaccurate about this statement? Did you not see Palin getting vilified by the media? I even know many Conservatoves who cannot stand Palin. Did you not see Mia Love and Jodi Ernst get called horrifying things when they ran? Liberal women are more likely to get approval than Conservative women ever are. We are viewed as having archaic views that make us slaves to men. I am a Conservative woman. I have gotten comments like that.
“If she were to become a viable candidate, her abysmal track record at HP would suddenly be broadcast across the MSM. Right now, she is in the lower tier and not a real threat to anyone.”
The MSM are pushing her higher. I want to see her campaign over, period. It’s built on a lie, “Successful female CEO runs for POTUS.”
When in reality: “Failed, fired, disgraced, unemployed, affirmative-action CEO and failed politician runs for POTUS.”
Okay. I thought you meant women in the general population instead of just the political realm.
You’re right. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
“Carly believes in man made global warming, Common Core...”
There are some things that just speak volumes about a candidate, and one of them is Common Core. Many are led to believe that the objection to CC is the extensive testing.
I won’t take up space here, but anyone who does the research will find CC is far more sinister than that. It’s purpose is to destroy a child’s self-initiative and critical thinking, a prerequisite to usher in the NWO without much resistance.
Anyone who advocates this is not fit to be Chief Executive.
The Constitution. It says a president and a VP from the same state can’t be elected to those offices at the same time.
That is not quite right. Here are several sources
Can the president and the vice president be from the same state?
Yes, you are indeed correct. Electors from a certain state cannot vote for president and vice president who are also from that same state, but electors from other states can.
