Not so fast! I seriously doubt Trump is down and out over this. If anything, I suspect as the dust settles, he’ll be just fine. He’s got the money to ignore the pundits and political elite. Consider he’s gotten free advertising so far and even this weekend he is topic one everywhere. Can you imagine if they not only dismiss him but try to exclude him?! Won’t be pretty.
Also, my brother made the point that Trump appeals to the younger generations, via Twitter. And those younger people aren't easily shocked, quite brash and coarse themselves. They've got to be laughing their butts off that this is such a big deal.
