Especially when you are talking about a man who says he never ask God for Forgiveness, which means one of two things he isn’t a true believer or Jesus has a brother.
I have found, in the school of hard knocks, that people often do not reject God as much as some religious caricature of Him.
But let’s assume the worst, he is an agnostic who is only out for himself. Can God raise such a person up to speak truth to power when the people called by Christ’s name will not?
There seem to be a lot of people whose vested interest here is to answer that question “NO.”
