I've read enough on my own and have thought about "natural born citizenship", defined as I wrote, and how the concepts connect together historically, legally and psychologically to believe that what I was taught in the 5th or 6th grade in the early 1970s is correct.

And what I was taught is what I posted, though I regret that I didn't express it very well.

Yes, I am well aware that voicing the opinion that I did has gotten quite a few people banned when they got into serious arguments about it. I have also seen examples where the site owners' opinions/beliefs about it and Ted Cruz was the reason for posters to quit FR.

I respect the strong opinions here and have no need to fight about it. I stated what I know to be the truth and then leave it be. People can do with it what they will.

I know from first hand and sometimes painful experience that humans can and will rationalize anything they want badly enough, so in this case why get into that fight or run over by that runaway train?

One thing is certain. The nation is being "fundamentally transformed" as we both watch and participate and redefining the words of our standards, rules and core aspects of our national identity is the most effective technique "they" use.

"Marriage", for example, is one of the latest casualties.

Nope, I like the old, original, accurately descriptive< definitions better than the new, worldly ones designed for fairness and to not hurt anyone's feelings.

It’s worth keeping in mind that there are two types of citizens——naturalized and natural born.

Cruz has never been naturalized. There was no need.
