And first radical statement that some may find dark and macabre:
We need to fight wars with the mindset of actually wanting to win.
I.e. the objective of war is multi-fold: you must offend the enemy so much and so often that you break his will, you need to kill enough of them that they cannot maintain battlefield presence, and you need to make it so that he doesn’t want to play anymore and runs home.
Then you follow him home.
And if he’s from certain nations, force their home nations to compensate us the cost of exterminating their vermin.
