This was based on his belief that had the Allies allowed the Emperor to retain the throne, the Japanese would have surrendered. This was a position that YOUR post makes ironic since the atomic bomb spared his life. You could have posted such a comment only if you believe Hirohito had culpability in his country's war crimes. On the one had, you want to use MacArthur's comments to bolster your argument, yet you dodge the implications of his position.
