I find it amazing that in most of (Liberal) Western Europe, Abortion is only allowed within the first Trimester (12 weeks).

I've always wondered why it would take a woman over 12 weeks to decide to abort her child. Why? If you could not "handle" a pregnancy, wouldn't you know it immediately? And then as the baby is growing inside the womb, doesn't its humanity become more and more evident? After one third of the pregnancy is over and only two thirds to go, why wouldn't one even consider adoption at that point? By the way, forget the health of the mother rationale because that reason is never valid.

Agreed, the “Health” of the Mother is a broad excuse than can be used to justify anything.

Kind of like applying for SS Disability. Stress, Insomnia, Bi-polar, Nervousness, Headaches, the list is endless.

The “Life” of the Mother is an entirely different situation.

Again, I am still amazed that our Society has become more Callous about the Unborn than the supposedly enlightened Progressive European Socialists.
