I think you’re going a bit overboard on rooting for Ted Cruz.
Not a problem, he’s a good guy, but Trump is much stronger.

Ted Cruz is a smart man—he will kick back—lets see what he does in the debate. I think he will ride in and defend Trump—attack (from behind) Jebster and Christie Cream. He is going to be pro-trump but also his own man. If Trump falters—Cruz can pick up his support, If Trump doesn’t, there is the VP consideration. For Cruz its win-win.
