Jonathan Greenblatt, a White House aide, has been selected to replace Abe Foxman as national director of the ADL.
The Anti-Defamation League has announced that Jonathan Greenblatt, a special assistant to President Obama, will succeed Abraham Foxman who is stepping down as the ADL’s national director this coming July.
“The unanimous choice of the 16-member succession committee is Jonathan A. Greenblatt, a social entrepreneur, government official and corporate executive with extensive experience in building socially conscious businesses and creating innovative public-private partnerships,” noted the ADL’s press release, issued on Thursday, Nov. 6.
Greenblatt, 43, has been the director of the Office of Social Innovation and Civic Participation in the White House Domestic Policy Council, where his portfolio includes national service, civic engagement, impact investing and social enterprise since 2011. He also worked in the Clinton White House and for the first Clinton presidential campaign.

I thought Jewish folks were more savvy than this. Congrats, you just turned the ADL into an organization to boost for Obama. Obama doesn’t like Israel or jews so your main reason for existing is now against your current goals.
I said this on another thread, but as much as we may object to some of what the ADL does, we have to admit that under Abe Foxman they did an awful lot for religious reconciliation. Foxman’s comments about Mel Gibson’s Passion of the Christ were instrumental in furthering dialog and rapport between Catholics and Protestants.
It should be noted that the ADL raises around only HALF as much money as it did ten years ago. It’s dying, and the old geezers that prop it up have no other playbook.
It’s not a wonder that they promote religious ‘reconciliation’; half of their few grandchildren are Catholic.

Abe Foxman already acted like an anti-Israel Obama appointee. I’m surprised they didn’t replace him with a Muslim.

Greenblatt is married to Marjan Keypour Greenblatt, an Iranian immigrant to the United States. They have three children.
Greenblatt also founded the Impact Economy Initiative at The Aspen Institute, which is funded in part by George Soros’s Open Society Institute. He is a Henry Crown Fellow at Aspen. He also served on the boards of Jewish Community Foundation of Los Angeles, KaBOOM!, the Starbucks Foundation and water.org.
The newly appointed chief of President Obama’s Social Innovation and Civic Participation Council doubles as the director of a social justice group funded by George Soros.
The organization, the Aspen Institute, works closely with Soros and even was reportedly used by the billionaire in a failed attempt to engineer the defeat of President Bush in the 2004 elections.
Greenblatt is the founder of a civic service company that works in partnership with Google and the Huffington Post. He has several ties to Google.
Greenblatt also serves as director of the Impact Economy Initiative at the Aspen Institute.
Aspen’s mission statement says the nonprofit seeks “to foster values-based leadership, encourag[e] individuals to reflect on the ideals and ideas that define a good society, and … provide a neutral and balanced venue for discussing and acting on critical issues.”
The group leads a number of social justice global initiatives and espouses an ideology that government intervention is necessary to fix what it claims are various social and racial injustices that permeate U.S. society.
With the hiring of Greenblatt, Foxman and ADL “have doubled down on this tragic abandonment of Jewish interests in favor of an ill-defined universalism,” said Jacobs.
The choice of Greenblatt is an odd one. He has no obvious background in the Jewish sector. His NGO experience was the usual collection of phony liberal philanthropies, not to mention a really expensive brand of Starbucks water. He’s the kind of guy whose job it is to make people feel good about wasting money on expensive bottled water while convincing them that they’re saving the world.
A man with ties to a Nazi collaborator waging war on Israel and America has been appointed to head the ADL.
Let’s recall that the ADL condemned Soros’ bigotry.
Soros, whose parents really hated Jews, passed down their inheritance of bigotry to their spawn. Soros described his own mother as a “Jewish anti-Semite”.
