I wasted my breath and called both Maryland senators today. Mikulski’s took my commit and hung up. Cardin’s aide was more pleasant and told me that calls are strongly in favor of defunding. Of course he’ll vote no.
Mikulski’s staff has always been extremely rude to me every time. Even in person. Memorably rude. My friend was an official photographer for some event she was at and said she’s the nastiest woman he’d ever met.

People in MD like rude senators: they’ve had them for many years and always will, I suspect.
