Every government always seeks to expand its powers and control over as many people as possible.
The supporters of the Country of Europe have themselves to blame. I could have warned them, but their heads were up their collective European a$$es.

This will spell the end of economic experimentation, i.e., lower taxes in one country to stimulate economic development: they’ll want the taxes to be the same everywhere - high!

1) Government / Bureaucracy is an organism.
2) Organisms are incapable of being static, They either grow or die.
3) Restrict the feed to an organism and its edges die first.
4) Feed an organism and its nucleus grows first.
5) A growing organism finds more sources of food.
6) Divide an organism and both sections seek to grow back what was lost.
7) No organism will ever find a reason not to grow.
8) Controlling an organism will cause pain as the organism fights back.
9) If the organism causes no pain, it is not being controlled.

A great tyranny in the making (and quite a ways along, too)
