"Let me explain first of all this is Europe's problem much more than ours, OK?" Trump told CNN during a trip to Scotland.
"And Europe isn't complaining as much as we are. But this is more of a Europe problem," Trump continued. "And when Europe comes to us and says, 'We want your help, we want your help,' but they're not really doing that. They're dealing with Russia, they're taking in the gas, they're taking in the oil they're not really doing that. And you know, we're making a big deal out of it."
"But why isn't Germany leading this one?" Trump asked. "You know Germany is a very rich, very powerful nation. Why aren't they dealing on it moreso? Everything the United States we're like the policeman of the world."

Maybe they'll be smart enough to demand a Treaty ratified by the US Senate.
And, why do you believe we are bound by an agreement signed by Bill Clinton and never submitted in any way to the US Congress for codification?
Honor bound to Bill Clinton?
And I as an American should want to stick our military in the middle of ANY of that because why?
If Vlad wants that craphole, is it the job of any American to stop it? Why?
Is it the job of us to even BE on that side of the world interfering in the affairs of your so called ‘sovereign’ nations that are not us? Why?
See, “Typical Norm BS” uses logic and reason. What are YOUR reasons to get countless Americans killed ofer business that is 7000 miled from our own?
You know it’s funny. As in pathetic funny. Iran sends their guys to Mexico and you staunch right wing chest thumping patriots line up to condemn their obvious aggression against the homeland. But when a whacked out of his mind American President and a bleeding kneed congress do exactly the same thing to Russia, you buy them kneepads and betadyne.
The core issue is why is America there at all. Start by answering that. Because the rest is all about that.
People forget it’s where Joseph Stalin was from.
I agree it’s mainly a European issue, but Putin isn’t cleaning up his back yard, he’s fencing in his neighbors’ yards.
Thank you Mr. Chamberlain. So few people understand that the Rhineland, Austria, and Czechoslovakia had no bearing on other people's at all.
Same thing applies personally too. A lot of people feel they need to get involved when they see a neighbor getting robbed or a woman being assaulted, when it's just some guy taking care of business, as you say. And it's certainly not something to go sticking your nose into.
Then why did Reagan not return the troops to Vietnam?
You see, we already won the cold war. We already secured Iraq for the most part. Unfortunately the present President has wiped out most of our military and economical accomplishments.
Hate to say it but Obama's leaving this nation in a much worse situation than Carter could ever think of. He's moved transferred many of our unemployed to lifetime government benefits such as disabilty. I don't see that changing anytime soon. There are more people riding the cart than there are pulling it and we're so deep in debt we'll not ever see us even close to being in the black before our lives end on this earth. Sad but true.
Obama has transformed America to the point where a Ronald Reagan, a Thatcher or even a John F Kennedy could not get elected today. Even if they did, I doubt they would go back and fight for the return of our accomplishments which Obama and today's Europe stupidly lost anymore than they'd have returned to Southeast Asia to try to get back Saigon.
Too bad we don’t have any of those patriotic parents who had kids at Wake Island to chime in.
Bullseye, Norm.
Well they hire Mercs. Hop a plane man put your bullets where your beliefs are.
Or explain why we need to suddenly go into nuclear war with Russia. Because ultimately thats where war with Russia goes. You want 300 million dead Americans on your hands for nothing? Be my guest.
Not for greater good or good at all. For NOTHING.
Amazing how many want to go to war with Barry in charge. Tell me liberals arent in force on Russia threads here.
What do you mean by "the US"?
This document was not submitted to the Senate for ratification. The "S" in "US" stands for STATES, which are represented in the Senate and whose consent is REQUIRED to bind those very states to ANY international obligations.
The so-called "Budapest Memorandum" was never ratified by the Senate, it is therefore meaningless and obliges us to nothing.
It was another of the great Clinton Con jobs.
...I dont see too many people having a big problem with Putin cleaning up his backyard.
*****************************
I would hope the US would do the same if Mexico or Brazil, et al in our “backyard” was about to go to nuclear weaponry.
I hope that was said with extreme sarcasm. It just doesn’t show on the Internet, but I really hope that is so.
...Zbigniew Brzezinski ...
*****************************
One of the major contributors to the loss of respect throughout the world for the United States, along with Albright’s, Clinton’s and Kerry’s contributions.
Damn! I really hate liberals!
Wow, what a compelling pointtyouve made that the Russians will unleash total nuclear war on another nuclear power that would be totally suicidal for them, if they aren’t allowed a free hand in subjugating all of their former empire and then some.
I guess we had best just surrender pronto or at least disband our military and accept our fate.
Tell me, can you see the Kremlin from your balcony?
” the next coutry thinking about giving up their nukes will have to remember this event. “
*************************************
Didn’t Obama make an agreement with Putin to significantly reduce our nuclear weapon stockpile; and hasn’t he done so?
This POTUS has been nothing but a traitor to the US sovereignty and safety.
Simple questions. Do you feel that Russia, faced with a war with America, will abstain from using nukes or not?
If Russia started a war with us do you feel WE would abstain from using nukes or not?
Since America has not actually won a war since 1945 with Democrats in charge, what do you feel the odds of our success are against people slightly better armed with said nukes considering our ROEs result in prison time for soldiers that kill the enemy?
You know what's funny as in "pathetic funny" Norm? Your hold on reality. I've NEVER said we should risk American lives.
The core issue is why is America there at all. Start by answering that. Because the rest is all about that.
If you believe Oliver Stone and some unnamed German "sources" then yes sure we are there.
My hold on reality says that when one interferes in the politics of two opposing nations that bad things historically result. Things like wars.
Now if you want to go back to Equestria and see how they handle things, feel free. Here on earth though, if you do it, war is a very real probability depending on how upset those countries get.
Don’t hate me because I’m beautiful. Hate your history teachers that were rather obviously inept at their chosen profession.
And when one of those countries already told you to bounce real high on trampolines to get your own astronauts to their space station, you can guess that they aren’t ready to sit around the environmentally correct room heater in flanell onesies drinking hot cocoa and talking about Obamacare with you.
