I hope that doesn't mean that the Glock I paid $300 for at a pawn shop isn't safe. The shop does a lot of firearms business, and has an in-house gunsmith. They really know their stuff.

The Glock is a lightly worn (mostly holster wear) G21 gen-2 from 1993. I stripped it, and everything looks good. I put about 100 rounds through it at the range without any problems.

I'm pleased, in spite of the size and weight. It's not exactly concealable, but I really like being able to carry a pistol with 14 rounds of .45 stopping power. Remarkably light recoil.

True. I'd be embarrassed to admit that I own a Taurus. I like Sigs and HKs, and some morons can't understand why I'm willing to spend up to $1k on a pistol. I tell 'em that I don't economize on my life.
