Rules are rules. If following them means you die and violating them means you live, the rule makers prefer you die.
That “No personal firearms” rule also worked well at the base in Texas—I forget how many US soldiers the Islamic guy was able to kill and injure that day—but it was horrific.
I thought maybe the military would wise up a bit after that.
There has always been an exception to the rule of discharing a firearm if it is in defense of self or others.
I want to see this prosecution. Better it go forward and clear the air, either show the utter pusillanimous of this administration, or clear the Commander.
