Like Jonathan S. Tobin at Commentary, I have little doubt that TrumpMania will soon fade away. There has always been a willingness among a part of the electorate to get behind an angry outsider, but when push comes to shove, even those voters opt for a candidate they can trust. Trump simply isnt that guy. Tobins third argument, which I consider to be the most important one, is as follows:
"Third, the assumption on the part of some that a public that has been watching Trump on TV for years already knows all it cares to learn about the man is equally unfounded. I doubt that most of those on the right applauding his outrageous act are aware of Trumps long history of backing for liberal causes and even his financial support for Hillary Clintons Senate campaigns and their family charity that operates as a political slush fund for the former first couple."
Another good argument:
"Fourth, as I noted last week, the basic culture of American democracy is something that is designed to trip up demagogues. This wouldnt be the first case of populism run amuck in American history and there are some obvious examples of outlier figures having a major impact on the outcome of elections."
ts very simple. When it boils down to it, Trump is not actually conservative. He has, all throughout his life, supported Democrats. Two of the most important recipients of his support (financial and otherwise) are Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. Theres no chance in hell that the conservative base will let him get away with that. Of course there are some who argue that Ronald Reagan was originally a Democrat as well, but that comparison doesnt hold. Reagan broke quite visibly with the Democrats and attacked them ruthlessly.

Well Walker’s the only one I’ve seen that wants to limit legal immigration as well as illegal. I don’t see Cruz’s position at that site.
here are all the ratings on numbers USA. Walker has the highest rating.
https://www.numbersusa.com/content/elections/races/presidential/2016-presidential-hopefuls.html
Positions 10. and 11. of Cruz on Immigration
10. End Visa Lotteries-institute safeguards that will prevent importation of foreign workers any time they would threaten the jobs or depress the wages of American workers.
11. Reduce Total Immigration- Until 1970, the U.S. immigration tradition was an average of around 250,000 a year; since new legislation in 1990. it has averaged 1,000,000 a year. More than 38 million foreign workers and dependents now live in the U.S. At current rates, immigration will add more than 100 million additional people to the U.S. population by 2060. This government-forced rapid expansion will require huge increases to energy, roads and other infrastructure and services.
where is that from . that sounds really good especially the last one 11. and it would save America. But i don’t know if I can trust
Cruz after he supported tpa and obamatrade which is the worst thing ever and increases immigration
This was sent to me by So Con Pubbie, but he listed the source as Numbers USA. Cruz’s entire list of positions are there.
Obamatrade (TPP) gives them the H1B visas and more.
This TTP Obamatrade deal is a trojan horse. Its disguised as free trade What It really allows is for Obama to flood the USA with an unlimited number of 3rd world immigrants...
