What will hand the election over to Hillary is if the Republicans nominate Jeb. Hillary won't need any help from Trump.
Actually, I think DT helps Jeb, at least right now.
I think DT is drawing more conservative voters away from someone who might be inclined to vote for someone like Ted Cruz or Scott Walker in the primary. He certainly appeals to those whose big issue is illegal immigration. I live in CA, so illegal immigration has always been a big issue with me. I just don’t think Trump is the answer.
Getting back to Jeb. I think DT helps him right now. Jeb will look calm, cool, and collected. He’ll scare GOP primary voters, hey do you want that loose cannon over there leading our Party?
Responsible conservative voters should coalesce around a responsible conservative candidate with a reliable track record. I would not want my choice to come down to Trump versus Bush. Since I live in CA, our primary is one of the last, in June. The nomination will probably be decided before I even vote.
