You have my prayers.
Praying for you, now, upchuck!
Hope this operation improves your sense of humerus!
Oh, upchuck... I am so very sorry to hear this happened to you. Of course, I’ll pray: Dear Heavenly Father, I ask You today to be with our friend, upchuck. Heal his arm, Dear Lord. Give skill to his surgeon and compassion to his nurses. Ease his fears, Lord, and please minimize any discomfort. In This I Pray. Amen.
***whenever you are up to it.. please keep us posted.. even if it is a few weeks from now (((Hugs))) Mom

Prayers up. God bless.
Prayers for you upchuck.
You’re in my prayers upchuck....
I know that God won't give us more than we can bear.
God doesn't put bad things on us. That would make him a villain. When bad things come into our lives, it's a perfect opportunity for us to draw close to Him. The grace and strength we need to endure comes from Him.
Your prayers certainly helped ad the surgery was a success. Doc insisted I stay in the hospital over night due to concerns about COPD. Got home yesterday, Thurs, July 30.
I’m still a lettle groggy but feel better today than yesterday.
Thanks for all your prayers and best wishes. It really helps to have an army behind you.
Our prayers. Everything should go well. Be sure and follow the surgeon’s and physical therapist’s instructions. I learned that the painful way, trust me.
‘Upchucking’ a prayer for you. Hope you can handle some humor now! ;D
Good news for the Prayer Warriors!

Recap:
Wed, 7/24,fell down stairs at home; broke right humerus (for those of you in Rio Linda, the humerus is the second largest bone in your body. It’s the bone between you shoulder and your elbow).
Wed, 7/29, had a surgical procedure to put a rod in my humerus from the shoulder to elbow.
Tue, 8/11, post-op Dr visit. Takaways:
- Took the cast off today and it’ll stay off. Hoorah!
- I can drive as long as the vehicle is automatic.
- Will need physical therapy only if I can’t achieve the needed range of motion by myself.
- The rod, pins and screws are made from titanium.
- I have a followup visit in four weeks.
- Bones will take 6-8 weeks to fully knit back together. Dr. said by Thanksgiving tissues, muscles and tendons all should be healed up.
The Dr took two xrays. Very interesting to look at. He did a great job of getting the two humerus pieces back together.
After the exam it was a real thrill to be able to put my shirt on by myself and button it up. What a relief!
I got Punkin back last Tues 8/4. She’s happy to be home and I’m happy to have her.
