There was a time not that long ago when this could be a very effective strategy. Nobody in the English speaking community was paying much attention to what went on at the Spanish speaking stations and the two media worlds remained largely separate.
If a candidate had the ability to do so, they could sit down for an interview like this and pretty much nobody outside of the target audience would really know about it. But this is the 21st century and everyone is watching everything. Those sorts of walls dont hold up any more for politicians and I think most of them know it. Thats why this portion of the interview caught a lot of attention immediately:
He also vowed to enact comprehensive immigration reform during his first term as president a significant priority for a Spanish-speaking audience and a pledge that he noted President Obama also made, but failed to achieve. So there you have it. A promise to enact comprehensive immigration reform made on tape. Bush may want to quibble about the specifics and say that doesnt mean amnesty in his world view, but thats going to be a tough sell.

Bye Bye
What Jeb does not get but Trump might because he hires a lot of low wage workers if he talks to them??? Legals hate illegals
Vote for ¡Yeb! if you want him to turn your country into North Mexico.
The GOP has a death wish if they nominate this guy.
He’s worse than McAmnesty and Romneycare, which I didn’t think was possible...
Bush is not a credible candidate. He’s a third tier candidate polling low and sinking.
Wrong on the issues, wrong electoral strategy, insults “base” voters. Add it up - BIG TIME LOSER
Remember when they say “Immigration Reform” what they mean is abandoning the rule of law and surrendering the country to fraudulently documented foreigners.
His only support is from Democrats in the Media.
I agree. Jeb Bush is the worst of the worst. He’s for foreign criminals, the Bush Dynasty, and Mexico.
Somebody tell me what is wrong with the current immigration law?
Who among the candidates has ever addressed the “flaws” of current law? They are all talking over our heads in that mouse trap called “Comprehensive Immigration”.
And, what needs to be comprehended exactly? :)
Reform what? The law is what the Americans agreed upon through their legislative process. Should we have murder reform as well?
Hey, America. While you’re zoning out, watching “Dancing With the Stars”, Don Jebbe is selling you out to the Bolivarian swarms.
“Comprehensive immigration reform” wink, wink.
Jeb - MOVE TO MEXICO.... be happy... YOU love the mexican culture... the killers, the gangs, the huge gap between rich and poor.
Those are things Americans don’t like. We don’t want their culture here.
So please, they have the culture they want... and we should be able to have the one we want.
If you love their ways, that’s fine. Lots of eliets in Mexico live better than the elties here. You Jeb might fit in better. More people to smugly feel superior to...
So, please Jeb - MOVE TO MEXICO...

Pretty sad when the only base you have don’t speak English.
The electoral strategy “doesn’t need conservatives”, writing off a significant part of his own party.
He insults all Americans, calling them infertile, lazy, stubborn.
He’s wrong on the issues, Common Core and amnesty.
He’s a lead promoter of Common Core
He’s a lead promoter of amnesty. He spins up various front groups to promote it. Amnesty is opposed by the vast majority of Americans, but he’s going to write them too, just like conservatives.
He’s an idiot. An unelectable idiot.
He goes on MSNBC - all English programming - and starts babbling in spanish. How phony can you get. Now he’s making comments about “brown people”. He’s debasing himself with this racial pandering. He’s fruitloops.
Yes. If Bush was raising his kids in Miami they were not being discriminated agains’t for having a good tan. Believe me not in Miami. I lived there. If you don’t speak Spanish there you can hardly survive.
So this is what it looks like when a RINO goes all out pimping for votes. Kinda amusing actually.
Well, at least ¡Yeb! Arbusto doesn´t even pretend to like us conservative English Speaking American Citizen types... That is sort of refreshing, when most candidates pretend to care about whatever audience they are speaking in front of.
So, kudos to ¡Yeb! for always letting us know that he does not like or care about ´reglar ´Mericans´.
