2012 was pretty simple to explain IMHO.
4 million of us sat home rather than turn out to vote for another RINO that had been foisted upon us by the GOPe. (just try and stick us with Jeb...you ain’t seen nuthin’ yet!)
Romney would not take the fight to Obama in any meaningful way.
The Dems had successfully vilified Romney as a dog-abusing polygamist who went around shipping jobs to India and giving people cancer.
All of the Julias out there were willing to turn out and vote in swarms in order to protect their free birth control, food stamps and Obamaphones.
Buckeye, have you run into or heard or seen anyone who admitted staying home. I have not read a single post here where someone said they stayed home. That bothers me.
To me, at the end of the day, Romeny was just like McCain. He didn’t even try. He wouldn’t say the things about a Black Man that needed to be said in order to win. Oh, the heck with it, he didn’t even believe in the things he said to get the nomination.
